Coach Roth graduated from
Oregon State University in 1991. He taught and coached
at Yelm High School for five years before coming to
Olympia in 1997, where he was the head girls basketball
coach from 1997 to 2001. He joined the OHS football
staff in the fall of 2001. He works primarily with
outfielders. Coach Roth and his wife Jennie have two
future Bears: Kaylie (5) and Caden (1)

Coach Waugh
graduated from The Ohio State University in 1973. He has
coached baseball at many levels over the years, and he
joined the varsity football staff at OHS this fall. His
sons Tucker (‘99) and John-Henry (‘04) both played in
the program. John-Henry is currently playing football at
Santa Rosa JC. Coach Waugh works primarily with the
catchers.

Coach Rygol
graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 1972.
He has coached baseball at many levels over the years,
and is in his second stint on the OHS staff. Coach Rygol,
along with Ernie Rascon, runs the Pepsi L & E Bottling
Jr. American Legion baseball team, giving OHS players a
chance to get another 40+ games of experience each
summer. His son John (‘04) was a two-year starter at 2B
for the Bears. |
